Explore a cycling journey with us that provides beautiful views, an immersive experience at the organic farm and is topped off by a delicious fram lunch.
The main focus of this tour is to learn more about organic farming in Zanzibar, what is the philosophy behind it. With today’s growing focus on food consciousness, Zanzibar’s organic farms are pivotal in promoting healthy eating habits and sustainability. We visit Msonge Organic Family Farm, an amazing example of an organic farm and we see, touch and smell the produce of the farm and learn about organic farming techniques. We also visit the permanculture institute ext door and see how it works with your own eyes. It is important to know what you eat and what your food eats.
On the way we embark on a delightful detour that unveils a picturesque fisherman space beach, where the tranquil waves meet the azure sky, benefiting from a shade of ancient Baobab trees.
On the way back to Stone Town our adventure takes a different turn. Paved roads replace rough paths, offering a smooth and exhilarating ride downhill.
On Sundays, the tour is slightly different; a lavish Swahili ‘Farm to table’ buffet lunch is prepared where the Msonge family introduce you to the best of the best that Swahili Cuisine has to offer. There is a musician adding tunes to the relaxing atmosphere in the shade under the trees where the lunch is enjoyed. (Extra 10 USD)
